《 ≠ Home 》

This project explores the relationship between individuals and temporary living spaces - places that shelter the body but rarely the soul. As an international student, the apartment I rented in the UK never really made me feel at home. In the eyes of others, I felt like I had just "moved in". The constant emptiness, both physically and emotionally, always made me realize that everything was only temporary.

In a series of photographs and installations, I use minimal furniture, monotonous lighting and scattered reflections to amplify the temporary nature of the space. The sense of emptiness brought by this space makes me feel that although it accommodates me, it reminds me that this is a "home" that will not stay for long. So it = home? No, it ≠ Home
